The firm
Distique Avocats, a boutique intellectual property law firm in the South of France, assists clients in both transactional and litigation matters.
Our attorneys practice in all areas of intellectual property law and related fields (copyright, trademark, industrial designs, patents, image rights, software, unfair competition, trade secrets, marketing and advertising, influencer contracts, etc.).
We advise our clients at all stages of their intellectual property, data and IP matters, from the protection of their creations and innovations to the negotiation and drafting of contracts and the defense of their interests before the courts and the IP offices.
We are fully bilingual and are happy to assist our clients in the roll-out of their projects abroad as well as the negotiation and drafting of contracts in English or French with international business partners.
Our team
Distique Avocats was founded by Alice Claramunt and Hannah Girard with the goal of simplifying client relationships without ever sacrificing the excellence and rigor of the legal advice provided.
Before founding Distique Avocats, Alice spent 7 years at a law firm specialized in intellectual property and new technologies. Hannah, a member of the Montpellier and New York bars, has worked in both Paris and Montpellier, in the fields of compliance and IP, and was legal counsel for a prestigious foundation in the field of art and design.
Together they founded Distique Avocats in 2024.
Our clientele
We assist those involved in creation and innovation with their intellectual property matters.
Our clientele includes both businesses and individuals. We assist and represent small and medium-sized businesses, start-ups, entrepreneurs, creators, authors and artists.
In poetry, a distich, or in French distique, refers to two lines of verse, which, together, form a complete meaning.
That complementarity reflects our approach to working with our clients: we work in close cooperation with our clients, bringing together their needs, priorities and constraints and providing our advice and expertise in order to offer tailor-made legal solutions, our clients’ interests always at the forefront of our strategies.
